From function-driven Systems Engineering to

چکیده
This paper describes a model-based system and software development process that combines both function-driven systems engineering and object oriented software engineering. The key part of this "Integrated Process" is the "Bridge" between the two paradigms. Tools chosen to demonstrate the Integrated Process are the I-Logix tools Statemate Magnum, for the function-driven systems engineering, and Rhapsody in C for UML-based software engineering. Rules can be established on how an architectural design model built with Statemate will be translated to a UML model for further software design and implementation with Rhapsody. The outlined mapping is not limited to Rhapsody. Rather, the Statemate-to-UML Bridge is equally applicable to any UML-based software design automation tool. Initially conceived for the design and development of highly complex embedded systems in aerospace/defense applications, the process is also applicable to other industrial applications.

متن کاملA Data-driven Method for Crowd Simulation using a Holonification Model
In this paper, we present a data-driven method for crowd simulation with holonification model. With this extra module, the accuracy of simulation will increase and it generates more realistic behaviors of agents. First, we show how to use the concept of holon in crowd simulation and how effective it is. For this reason, we use simple rules for holonification. Using real-world data, we model the...
متن کاملDrag Reduction by Surfactant Solutions in Gravity Driven Flow Systems
Efflux time measurements are carried out for gravity draining of a liquid from a large cylindrical tank (where the flow is essentially laminar) through single exit pipe in the absence and presence of Cetyl Pyridinium Chloride (CPC) surfactant solutions. The variables considered are initial height of liquid in the tank, dia. of tank, length of the exit pipe and concentration of surfactant. T...
متن کاملNumerical Study of Flow and Heat Transfer in a Square Driven Cavity
A numerical approach called “SIMPLER” is used to investigate the flow and heat transfer characteristics in a square driven cavity. The two-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations were solved and the results are depicted as contour plots of stream function, vorticity, and total pressure for Reynolds numbers from 1 to 10000. At the higher values of Reynolds number, an inviscid core re...
متن کاملProduct Development Decision Support System Customer-Based
Quality Function Deployment (QFD) has been traditionally used as a planning tool primarily for product development and quality improvement. In this context, many people have used QFD for making decisions on how to prioritize critical product areas from a customer perspective. However, it is the position of the author that the QFD process can be viewed as a decision support system that would enc...
متن کاملDual Space Control of a Deployable Cable Driven Robot: Wave Based Approach
Known for their lower costs and numerous applications, cable robots are an attractive research field in robotic community. However, considering the fact that they require an accurate installation procedure and calibration routine, they have not yet found their true place in real-world applications. This paper aims to propose a new controller strategy that requires no meticulous calibration and ...
